Prevention Measures for Covid-19

The safety and well-being of our guests and our team are fundamental. To meet all the hygiene, cleanliness, and safety requirements defined by the health authorities to prevent and control the epidemic caused by Covid-19, The Lodge established a strict protocol to guarantee a safe space for everyone, attested by Turismo de Portugal through the issuance of the Clean & Safe seal.

According to the new measures imposed by the Portuguese Government, as of midnight on February 17, 2022, the access to tourist establishments and local accommodation establishments throughout the mainland will no longer be subject to the presentation of a digital vaccination certificate or valid negative test in the absence of this. However, The Lodge, to guarantee a high level of security for all its customers, will continue to provide, on request:

•  An antigen test, carried out before the check-in, in a hotel room designated for that purpose. The client must carry out his/her own test. The validity of the test will be certified by a member of the front desk team, who will supervise it. The test has a price of € 20.

However, it is still mandatory to wear a mask in the hotel public spaces. We also recommend frequent hand hygiene. We have alcohol gel dispensers available in all public areas, including reception, bar, restaurant, swimming pool, gym, meeting rooms, toilets, and elevators.

The housekeeping team frequently disinfect surfaces using antiviral products. We use electrostatic nebulizers, in the evening, in all public spaces. We also use them in the rooms after check-out.

The air conditioning and ventilation systems in the rooms and all public areas are not circular, which allows the air to be released to the outside space, reducing the risk of contamination.

All employees have received specific training on the internal protocol for preventing Covid-19.
